Bible Journaling: Micah 6:8

This week my Bible journal entry was in Micah 6:8 “No, O People, the Lord has told you what is good and this is what he requires of you, to do what is right, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” This verse was the main verse in the sermon at church a couple weeks ago and three main phrases from the verse were ACT justly, LOVE mercy, and WALK humbly. God is reminding us as Christians to do what is right with kindness and humbleness according to His will. I illustrated this in my entry by pulling out the words ACT, LOVE and WALK with the sticker letters and tag. I also used the same phrase at the bottom of the page with a sticker from the Create 365 Faith pad.

Here are some of the supplies I used in my journal:  Colorbok Fresh Linen 12 x 12 paper pad, Create 365 Faith sticker book, Waverly Chalk paints, Inspire Journaling Bible, Spellbinders tag die, Illustrated Faith Bible mat, Fiskars scissors, Scotch craft glue stick, Zig Pigma pen, and Aleene’s tacky glue.  If you would like to watch my process video here it is:

Something I tried this time was using acrylic paints on the page. At first I was afraid it would just be a big mess, but I really loved how it turned out in the end! The paints did not bleed through and it was real easy to write over after it dried. Also, painting a thin layer helped with the drying time, which was only a few minutes.
