Mickey Mouse Flipbook

Disneyland is my daughter and I’s absolute favorite theme park to go to and I love Mickey Mouse! So when I found the Simple Stories Say Cheese II scrapbook collection, I knew I needed to make a something to highlight pictures that I have from our Disney visits. Here is a link to the Simple Stories website if you wish to see the collection or some of their other products: https://www.simplestories.com/blog/winter-2015-reveal-day-2-say-cheese-ii  and you can purchase the collection on amazon: http://amzn.to/2ljo84j

I made a Mickey Mouse shaped flip book. It has three pages made from a recycled Christmas gift box that was red and white polka dots. I covered the pages with the Say Cheese collection of papers, along with a black glitter and black polka dot card stock that I picked up at Joanns.  If you would like more explanation of my book, read further down for the my video on YouTube.

On this side of the flip book, each page has a pocket. The left page, I put 2 wands that I made, 1 rosette wand and 1 bow wand. In the middle page pocket I inserted 3 tags and 1 paper clip. On the right page, I put in 2 tags and for the ear decorations, I made a rosette attached on the left ear and a camera die cut on the right.

Here are the wands that I made. They are both made from the Say Cheese collection. On the rosette, I layered die cuts, glitter flower sticker and a red enamel dot, then spread some clear glitter glue to add some sparkle. On the bow, I added a pearl acrylic flower and some black ric rac.

On this side, I have a couple different techniques featured. On the left page, I made 2 flaps that lift up to reveal spots to put pictures. I attached them with some washi tape and put a lift tag on both with a couple of the die cuts from the collection. On the middle page, I featured  a gate fold element that opens up to reveal a pocket inside. If you flip each of the flaps on the back side, there is more space to put pictures. It ties up with black twine that wraps around 2 gold brads. On the right page, there is another pocket with more tags and a felt flower paper clip that I made.  To see the flaps and gate fold pages at work, watch my video:

Here are the tags that I included in the pockets. They all have space on 1 side or both to put pictures. The cute images of the girl and boy dressed up are from Google and here is the link: https://clipartfest.com/categories/view/57c7270ad6622bdf2c01fac702c72569113be302/disney-boys-clipart.html

The two paper clips I made from red felt flowers that I had in my stash, then I topped them with buttons and an acrylic flower.
