Pocket Letter: Home Town Edition- San Diego,CA

Here is a pocket letter that I made for a swap on the Happy Mail Swapping and More Facebook group. We were to make a pocket letter that showed where we lived. I live in San Diego, California, so I made one that featured three of my favorite places in California: Sea World, Disneyland and the beach! On the top row I used yellow gingham paper for the back ground, then layered wave paper for water, then I put some Sea World card stock stickers on top. In the middle, I used red and white polka dot paper for the background, then I put some yellow washi tape on the bottom. I had some travel Mickey Mouse stickers, so I picked one where Mickey is laying on the beach. On the outside of the page protector, I used foam squares to adhere a San Diego die cut, which I glittered up on the edges for extra sparkle. On the bottom row, I  used the wave paper as the background, then tore the yellow gingham paper to look like beach sand, then I added some beach Jolie dimensional stickers along with a palm tree vellum sticker. On the outside of the protector, I adhered a California picture map, which I found on Google Images. I printed it onto white paper, then glued it to a piece of blue card stock. I used double sided tape to adhere the bottom part only, so she could access all of the pockets.

On the back, I added a bunch of goodies: beach ephemera and stickers, Mickey stickers and punch outs, Sea World stickers, and red sequins and rhinestones.  For the swap we were also to include 4 souvenir items, so I included an “I Love San Diego” magnet, a San Diego keychain, a San Diego sticker and post card.
