Dollar Store Card Tranformation

When I was shopping at the Dollar Tree, I saw a card with these adorable kittens on it. I loved the card, but the paper was really flimsy, so I decided to remake the card and this is what I came up with!

This is what the original card looked like. The kittens are adorable and I love all the glitter, but it definitely needed a bit more for my standards.

I made a simple easel card. I started with a white card stock base, then I lined it with yellow polka dot paper. I cut the top part of the original card and mounted it on green card stock. I tied blue polka dot ribbon around it and added some sequin flowers with green rhinestones in the corners. That was adhered to the first flap of the card.

This is what the inside looks like. I cut the sentiment from the original card. I layered green card stock, then the yellow polka dot paper, then topped it with the bottom piece of the original card. I tied some tiny green ribbon around that piece and added punched out flower pieces on top. The sentiment was put down on top of all that, then I put flower sequins in the corners.

Here is the final card propped up in easel position.
