I designed this Fourth of July loaded star box for a swap over on the Loaded Envelopes Galore and More Facebook group. I used a paper pad from Joanne’s by Parklane “Land of the Free”, along with colored cardstock and chipboard to make it sturdy. If you would like to know how to make the box you can watch my YouTube video: https://youtu.be/OD7ma_joqY4.
Here is a link to a PDF that has the details for the project as well as templates for the tags and stars: http://creativecrafticality.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Loaded-Star-Box-and-Coin-Envelope-Templates.pdf
I also have a project in Cricut Design Space that you can use to cut out the pieces if you own a Cricut: https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/6091c60f06e7d70d88c79017
For the inside of the box, I made a loaded tag flip made up of different shaped tags with pockets and a large coin envelope filled with embellishments and cut aparts from the paper collection. I attached all of the tags onto a 2″ binder ring.
I also made a pin wheel wand and two firework wands. If you would like to know how to make the firework wands, I used this tutorial: https://stampwithannette.typepad.com/stamp_with_annette/2015/06/independence-day-table-decoration.html
I also made a star shaker tag and cut out “USA” on my Cricut to put on top of the acetate. The stars I used for this is in my Cricut Design Space project. I added glitter, round sequins and star sequins on the inside.
On the front of the box I made a tuck spot with some Fourth of July fabric and put an embellished tag in it. I also added some handmade flowers and navy blue pom pom trim.
On the back I used a cut apart from the paper pad to make a pocket and inserted another embellished tag. I decorated this side with another handmade flower and some rhinestone trim.
The box is approximately 5″ wide by 4″ tall by 2.5″ deep. It fits my tag flip perfectly, but you can also add handmade note cards or packaged embellishments. You can also use it fill with other goodies to give as a gift.
